Many older women join the Red Hat Society to greet middle age with humor, amusement, and energy. Since the Red Hat Society is not limited to the United States, there are women all over the world who get together to have an excellent time growing old with each other.
A diverse group of women make up the nearly 40,000 Red Hat Chapters in all fifty states and also 25 Red Hat Chapters in foreign countries. There are about 20-25 working women, retirees, grandmothers, golfers, attorneys, teachers, Olympians, and entertainers in each Red Hat Chapter.
